If you find an injured or an orphaned wildlife in the
Wharton/Matagorda County area or would like to donate any items, please call
Gulf Coast Wildlife Rescue at 245-4392 or 979-849-0184. Do not
attempt to put food or water in the mouth of these animals before speaking
with a rehabilitator. If you would like to become a volunteer, please
call the above numbers.
The Matagorda County Birding and Nature Center (MCBNC) is
open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Group
