Pilot of the Year Selected
The Pilot Club of Bay City recently elected Gay Kiker "Pilot of the Year" by secret ballot.

Taken into consideration by members when voting are friendship, cooperation, originality, committee activities, attendance, and promptness.

Gay Kiker has been a member of the Pilot Club of Bay City for 10 years. She has served as Director, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, President Elect and President. She has also served as Fund-Raising Coordinator and Chairman of the Annual Antique Show and Sale.

She was Region V Lt. Governor for two years before being elected Texas District Governor Elect at Pilot International Texas District Convention in fort Worth, Texas in May.

She will be installed as Governor at the 1999 district Convention in San Antonio.

Current Projects
Provide lifeline units for emergency in-home response; scholarship to local student in Special Education Program; provide birthday cake to residents of Matagorda County group homes for adult mentally retarded.
 

Coming Projects
Support Special Olympics; replace batteries in smoke detectors of lifeline subscribers; assist with fingerprinting of school children.
