Bay City Parks and Recreation Department summer activities are planned for the youth of Bay. From nature hikes to movies, there's something for everyone who wants to sign up for the summer program, which begins in July. Summer Recreation ProgramThis program is for children ages six and up. Children will be divided into groups according to age. Each age group will have a Recreation Counselor. Children will need to report to their assigned counselor every day. Bay City Parks and Recreation has a great summer planned, so come join in on the fun!Riverside ParkEvery Tuesday there are activities at Riverside Park. Each week Bay City Parks and Recreation will have a new adventure. Kids will explore our park, play games, play with our water toys, do crafts and much more. Always wear play clothes. Insect repellent will be helpful.Movie DayOn Wednesday Parks and Rec will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the Bay Cinema for the feature movie of the week, through July 22.Summer Recreation BowlingBowling is on Friday. Each child will receive a free Coke. Always wear SOCKS. If you do not sign up for summer recreation, it will cost $2 to play and $.50 for shoes, plus tax.Summer Recreation SwimmingSwimming will be on Mondays and Thursdays from 1 to 4:45 p.m. All participants must have a pool tag in order to get in the pool. There will be a $10 deposit per child for the use of a pool tag.When the summer program ends and the pool tag is returned, Parks and Rec. will refund your deposit. Any deposits left after 30 days from the ending of the program will be forfeited. Absolutely no one will be admitted without a pool tag!
