Van Vleck Independent School District

Van Vleck Schools Striving toward Developing Character

Van Vleck I.S.D. is represented by a school board with progressive desires of obtaining the utmost for the students and the district, using the budget in the most frugal manner. They sincerely believe that every child should be given the opportunity to learn and grow mentally, physically, morally, emotionally and socially.

They work to develop successful students with strong character. They believe the exceptional child, along with the average child, should be challenged to the maximum of his or her ability.

Salaries offered to school employees are well above state base. The district philosophy is that qualified educators must be appropriately compensated for their contributions and efforts. In addition, a comprehensive health insurance plan is a quality additive for all full time employees.

They value staff development and have provided for additional development days within the school calendar. This training and development is vital to providing them the tools to directly impact the students' and the employees' success in our district.

The Van Vleck Independent School District is a value added workplace, providing employees, students, parents and community members with a quality of life that is second to none in our great state of Texas.

Van Vleck offers safe schools, Intermediate, Middle and High School Teaming. Van Vleck ISD provides smaller classes, certified gifted and talented teachers and Parentlink.

Pre-ap and AP Programs in English, math, science and social studies are provided. The Academic Program includes early childhood, full day Pre-Kindergarten and full day Kindergarten. CEI Reading Improvement, English as a second language, and Special Education and UIL participation are provided in the Van Vleck curriculum.

Van Vleck ISD encourages involvement by parents and community in the education of our youth. We believe: "The community knows WHAT; the school knows HOW!"
