Bay City Public Library now has free internet access.

The world wide web is a growing presence in our world, bringing vast quantities of information right to our homes. To help keep up with the needs of its patrons, Bay City Public Library is now providing four on-line computers available to the public. This means little or no waiting.

A patron needs some basic computer skills to surf the web, but library staff members and volunteers are available for any problems. In addition, internet how-to books are available for check-out. For more information, call 409-245-6931.

What do you call a person who is willing to extend a helping hand? People with those qualities are called volunteers, and today the Bay City Public Library is in urgent need of more.

These volunteers provide a valuable service by helping staff members to offer better service to the community.

The library provides a wide variety of services to the residents of Bay City and Matagorda County, so if working at the circulation desk isn't your thing, they can and will find something better suited to your skills and interests.
