IMPACT OF GIVING IN

MATAGORDA COUNTY

14 cents - provides a pound of food to an undernourished child or senior citizen.

50 cents -  per week provides a cyber program on child abuse to be available on two computers in the lab at Matagorda County schools.

$1.50  - per week provides a “Keeping Families Safe Kit” for each community resident.

$2.50  - per week provides an abused child a Court Appointed Special Advocate who stands up for the best interest of the child.

$3.00  - per week provides a family of 3 with a months worth of groceries.

$3.19 - provides a daily alternative for a latchkey child to be in a safe environment, snack, & after-school tutoring .

$6.00 - provides an adult with an hour of literacy instruction with a one-on-one mentor.

$6.00  - per week will provide an entire classroom alcohol & drug prevention brochures.

$7.00 - will provide a scholarship for a disadvantaged girl to be in Scouting for a year.

$13.00  - per week will provide a mentally handicapped person training and developmental skills to allow them to live independently.
